Founder and creative director, Luisa Kelsey said:
“During the Coronavirus lockdown we pledge to donate half of the sale profits from our new ‘Spitfire Tote Bag’ to Place2Be and #FeedNHS.
By supporting our chosen charities, we hope to play a small part in helping vulnerable children and teenagers during these unprecedented times and help raise money to feed the NHS teams on the front line.
At the moment, we want to help and support society’s most vulnerable - we hope this provides a meaningful way for shoppers to give back and make a positive impact on those that really need it.”
The Luisa Kelsey Spitfire logo, which features on our tote bag, represents ‘heritage, flight and travel’ which are elements synonymous with our brand. A design classic, the Spitfire was made in Britain and has become a much-loved British icon. Symbolising beauty, craftsmanship and freedom; it also represents strength and hope in the face of adversity.
About our selected charities:
Place2Be is a children’s mental health charity of which the Duchess of Cambridge is Royal Patron. It provides counselling and mental health support and training in UK schools. The charity believes that children should not have to face mental health problems alone. Children and teenagers may be especially vulnerable during the Coronavirus outbreak which is why we have chosen it.
#FeedNHS is campaigning to raise as much money as possible for NHS Trusts to provide hot, healthy meals to our NHS teams on the front line.
